Render Boudoir Open Studio | Minneapolis Intimate Portrait Artist

This was my first time doing an open studio event, and I am so pleased! My goal was to do something that gave women a chance to learn what boudoir photography is all about and see what the Minneapolis studio is like without the risk of needing to invest in purchasing a full session. We gathered and chatted for the first 15 min or so while guests looked over some of my albums and checked out items from the client boudoir closet. And from there, everyone had the chance to get into some lingerie (either their own or something they chose from my collection) and have a complimentary portrait taken. It was incredibly fast — each lady got about 2 min with me and I couldn’t believe how quickly each one of them got comfortable enough to make something beautiful and vulnerable!

The photos were taken in a group setting, so everyone got to watch as I guided each woman through a series of boudoir-style poses and coached breathing and facial expression. Most importantly, the ladies were so supportive of one another and cheered one another on the whole way! To wrap things up, I did several drawing for prizes including $50 off a session, a free folio box with session purchase, and a free mini session. I was so so proud of these women for their willingness to be vulnerable in front of others and their open-mindedness for trying something new. I can’t wait to get each of them back into the studio for their own private sessions soon ;)
