When I look at boudoir images, I sometimes find myself absolutely captivated by the human in the image — and sometimes I find myself thinking, “that’s nice.” Maybe you’ve had the same experience — and I think the difference between a nice image and a captivating one is the emotion and energy behind it. Is it a photo of a body or a photo of a person filled with life and soul? Because boudoir images are about featuring the body, I think they often slip into the realm of ‘nice photos of bodies’ and I’m just here to say that I believe that’s not good enough. Yes, we’re going to photograph your body, but we’re going to capture your life and personality and intensity too. I’m going to be coaching you for facial expressions of joy, confidence, pleasure, and vulnerability. I can’t wait to photograph you — not just your vessel, but the soul inside.
