The one thing that jumps out at me as I look over these images is how amazing it is to watch Makenna’s facial expressions and body language evolve throughout the session — you can truly see her getting more comfortable with each frame, building self-love, shedding the inhibition and allowing more and more of her real, true, beautiful self come to the surface.

Makenna’s Post-Session Interview

How did you first become interested in a boudoir session? And what made you decide to jump in?

I always thought it would be an empowering experience and it proved to be just that! I decided to do a photoshoot because I thought it would be a fun and playful gift to give my fiancé on our wedding day.

How did you find Render Boudoir and what made you choose Britt over other intimate portrait artists? Did something stand out to you?

I found Render Boudoir on Instagram and then realized I knew a few women in the posts that took part in boudoir shots which gave me confidence in choosing Render Boudoir for my experience. I loved the lighting, staging and posing of the women! Every woman in the IG and FB posts looked absolutely stunning so I knew I would be in good hands.

From booking to hair/makeup to the session and ordering meeting -- did the whole thing feel like a luxury experience? What did you love about it and would you suggest any changes to make it better?

The whole process was great and easy and I felt pampered the day of the photo shoot. The only suggestion I’d have is to check in with the client a couple more days in advance to see if they have all the lingerie/clothing items they need and to see if there’s any questions around hair, makeup, jewelry etc.

Was this an experience you'd recommend to other women? If they had reservations, what would you tell them?

I already have! recommended this experience! It was an empowering experience that made me feel confident and sexy. I came out if that photo shoot feeling like I had no flaws and absolutely loved myself. The initial awkwardness of being in lingerie around someone quickly dissipated and I felt comfortable and supported throughout the whole photo shoot and welcomed any adjustments or tips.
